Two things, not ten.
Maintain a Kit once and it gets better over time. Generate a List from it whenever you need one, and the items come for free.
Kits
The reusable set of things you keep. Weekly groceries, a Dopp kit, a beach bag, a charging kit. Long-lived, and they get better every time you use one.
Lists
The working checklist you spin up from a Kit, or from several at once. Overlapping items merge and their quantities add up. Check things off, then toss it, or keep it and restock.
The point
Maintain once, reuse forever.
A Kit is the thing you keep. Edit it, and every List you make from it afterwards is already right. Type an item once and Plum remembers it everywhere after that, with a Clean Up screen for merging any duplicates you collect along the way.
Kits inside kits
A Kit can contain other Kits. A Weekender pulls in your Dopp Kit, and anything appearing twice merges instead of piling up.
Nothing changes under you
A List is frozen the moment you make it. Pull in new Kit items when you actually want them, and your checkmarks stay where they are.
Promote a list later
Built something by hand and want it again? Save it as a Kit. You never have to decide up front.
Why it exists
What Plum doesn’t do.
I never found a list app that stuck. They all wanted to be something bigger than a list. So this part is deliberate, and none of it is coming later.

Paste anything
Paste text out of Notes, Messages, or a document. Bullets, numbering and checkboxes get tidied up on the way in.
Apple Reminders
Pick a reminder list and bring it across, with completed items if you want them. Read only, so your Reminders stay exactly as they were.
The share sheet
Add to Plum from Notes, Safari, Messages, and anywhere else that shares text. Pick the destination list when you open the app.

Say it instead.

Without opening the app
Useful mid-recipe with your hands covered in something. It goes into the list itself and syncs like any other change, and Siri reads it back so you know it worked.
Working from the moment you install
No Shortcut to build first and no phrases to teach it. It also turns up in Spotlight, in the Shortcuts app for your own automations, and on the Action button if you want it there.
Two phrases, not a conversation
This is voice capture, not an assistant. It puts an item in a list or makes a list, and it runs on Apple’s App Intents, on your device, with no account.
Quietly does the work
It sorts itself out.
Every list has sections. Make your own, rename and reorder them, drag items between them. Move something by hand and it stays where you put it.
Aisles in walking order
Groceries sort into the order you actually walk a store, and packing sorts into categories. A built-in dictionary does that offline, on every device, with no AI involved.
Smarter about the unfamiliar
Where the device supports Apple Intelligence, a private model on your phone handles items the dictionary has not met, and can add a section when nothing fits. It runs on the phone, so nothing is sent anywhere and your lists never train anything. Correct it once and it stays corrected. Sorting works fine without it.

Check something off in the shop and it is checked on everyone else’s phone. One source of truth, and nothing to merge afterwards.
One list at a time
You share a single list or kit. Nothing else in your account travels with it, so everything you did not share stays yours.
Told once, not ten times
When someone else adds or checks things off you get one summary for that list, not a ping per item, and never for your own changes. Mute a single list or switch them all off in Settings, and Plum does not ask for notification permission until the first time you share.
No account to make
It runs on iCloud, so nobody has to create a Plum login, and it all keeps working offline. The same sync keeps your own iPhone and iPad in step.
Free and Pro
Nearly all of it is free.
The engine, the sorting, the imports and the sync are the free app. Pro raises the Kit limit and adds sharing and a couple of personal touches.

Kits are unlimited while you are trying Plum. After that the free limit is three, and any Kit you already made keeps working. You are only asked about Pro at the moment you reach for one of those four things, never in the middle of something else.
Privacy
Your lists are yours.
Kits, lists, items and photos live in your own iCloud rather than on a Plum server, and sorting happens on your device. Nothing you write is ever used to train anything. What does leave is deliberately thin: anonymous counts of things like a list being created, plus crash reports. It is there so I can see which parts get used and fix what breaks. No list contents, no photos, no names, no ad tracking, and nothing sold.
